The week before Christmas, our builder came in to build
the first floor structure and put down the plywood sub-flooring
on the deck.

The first step
is to install the perimeter box, which is a
large beam that will support the log walls and
a great deal of the house's structure.
|
|
|
|
Then the center
beam is put in place. This large beam will support
the floor joists for the main part of the house.

|

The deck is
finished, and the house is ready for the log
walls to be built.
